It’s 10:30 p.m. on a school night. A student planned to be asleep by 11, but a “quick” scroll turns into an hour, and the next morning they’re tired, distracted, or not in class at all. About half of adolescents in a national study used their phones between midnight and 4 a.m., according to JAMA Pediatrics.
Families are asking what your district plans to do about the tech, AI, and social media challenges affecting students’ learning and well-being. Districts that answer with a proactive approach to modern life skills show families they take the challenge seriously, and that students are building skills that show up in how they sleep, focus, and arrive at school ready to learn.
Join The Social Institute, Michael Pullen, Superintendent of Schools, and Megan Paliotti, Assistant Superintendent for Instruction at North Rose-Wolcott Central Schools, to learn how their district is taking a proactive approach to AI, social media, and devices, and what it means for student attendance, engagement, and readiness to learn.
