After the AI Handbook: The modern life skills students actually need to learn

Los Angeles Unified School District paused student AI access on district devices. New York City Public Schools banned it through 8th grade.

The handbooks for AI are being written. A policy tells students which tools they can open. Skills teach them to question AI-generated answers, spot bias, protect their privacy, and determine when AI use is appropriate or not.
