As Co-Founder and VP of Operations at The Social Institute, Shayna oversees the company’s operational needs including Human Resources, recruiting, sales operations, and the internship program. Before joining the company, she worked on the Employer Relations Team in the Duke Career Center, where she oversaw the on-campus recruiting program and major employer events. Earlier in her career, she received her master’s of education in counselor education from North Carolina State University and worked with Duke student-athletes as an academic coordinator and assistant director of Student-Athlete Development. She enjoyed working with students and helping them figure out their strengths, leadership qualities, and passions. And still does.
Before starting her professional career, Shayna attended Duke University and was a D1 student-athlete on the field hockey team. In four years, she helped the team to three final-four appearances.
