Schools work hard to prevent the academic summer slide. But there’s a parallel phenomenon we rarely name: the summer tech slide.
When the final bell rings, students don’t put down their phones or devices; they pick them up more. The habits built across the roughly 90 unstructured days, like late-night scrolling, algorithm rabbit holes, and social media comparison, will follow them straight back into the classroom come September.
In this webinar, The Social Institute is huddling with Dr. Jessica Anderson, School and Clinical Psychologist, to explore how schools can equip families with clear, realistic standards around social media, A.I., and screen time before summer begins.
Attendees will walk away with:
- Strategies for co-creating screen time and A.I. standards with families that actually stick
- Real-world examples of supporting students’ well-being and decision-making outside the classroom
- Turnkey resources to keep your school community aligned all summer long
