3. What is the difference between #WinAtSocial Trending Lessons & #WinAtSocial Lessons?
#WinAtSocial Trending Lessons enable your community to process and discuss trending topics and current events that matter to students, while #WinAtSocial Lessons teach evergreen life skills throughout the year, through a timely, culturally relevant approach. All lessons are co-created with and snicker-tested by students across the nation, then vetted by hundreds of educators at #WinAtSocial partners, including advisors, counselors, and researchers.
3. How long is a #WinAtSocial Lesson?
You can flex #WinAtSocial Lessons to best fit your class schedule by pausing a lesson, fast-forwarding it, or saving it and returning to where you left off. Many educators are hosting #WinAtSocial Trending Lessons between 10 to 30 minutes in length, and #WinAtSocial Lessons between 45 to 60 minutes in length. Each lesson type includes project-based exercises that can be run through multiple shorter sessions or altogether in one longer session.
Some teachers find their students so engaged in the exercises and discussion that they don’t fully complete the lesson. What’s most important is that facilitators host a meaningful conversation with students that sparks connection, strengthens their awareness and decision-making, and enables students to apply what they’ve learned to their life.
4. Can I preview a lesson in advance?
Yes. Log in to #WinAtSocial and visit the Lessons tab to preview the gamified lessons, print lessons plans and facilitation guides, and more.
