What teens tweet about “13 Reasons Why” may surprise you
When Netflix released the 13 episodes of “13 Reasons Why” at the end of March, the media, parents, school administrators, counselors, and students went a little nuts. April was full of articles, videos, blog posts, interviews, and letters about the program. Some were praising it, others banning it. Last week, we posted a Q&A with a mother and daughter who watched the show together. And the week before we suggested a 13-word response to the program for parents.
Coverage is slowing down now, but still, more than a month in, “13 Reasons Why” is the most-tweeted-about program of the year. And they keep coming!
We’ve been following the hashtag #13ReasonsWhy to see what students are (still) saying about the show on Twitter. Some of their comments may surprise you.
