Sean Kelly describes his work as a Social Media Coach with The Social Institute as the perfect blend of passion meeting purpose. He hopes to positively impact as many students as possible by helping them use social media for good.
Sean is a former Duke Basketball player who went from working as a student manager to a scholarship walk-on for the 2015 National Championship Blue Devils. He studied psychology and education, and his interest in social media was sparked by the seeing how his teammates used social media and how his own use changed after making the team.
Before joining The Social Institute, Sean worked at Creative Artist Agency in the sports department, and at Carlthorp School in Santa Monica, CA, in admissions.
Sean and his wife Mel have a mini poodle named Rudy and a yellow lab named Haley who are often featured on his Instagram. When he isn’t working on social, Sean enjoys playing pickup basketball, watching the Chicago Cubs, and getting outside.
